The period to seek permission to make a Late Claim regarding Hepatitis C acquired through blood or blood products received from the Canadian blood system in the period January 1, 1986 and July 1, 1990 expired on March 31, 2025.

In certain limited circumstances, a secondarily infected person, family members or dependants of an HCV infected person whose Late Claim has already been approved under the settlement may still be entitled to make a Late Claim.

Persons who were granted permission to file a Late Claim by a Late Claims Referee must file their Late Claim with the Administrator within 2 years of the date the referee granted them permission.
